The Cherokees of Central Florida will have a meeting this Sat, Feb 13th from 2-5pm. It will be held at Moccasin Lake Nature Park in Clearwater, Florida.
At this meeting, we will play Cherokee Marbles outside, have a session on a Cherokee Historical Figure, and a session on Cherokee History. We will also have a slideshow presentation on Eagles by local Nature Photographer Andrea Webb. I will also talk about the Cherokee Nation Heirloom Seed project and instruct Cherokee Citizens on how they can obtain unique heirloom seeds that have been preserved and grown for thousands of years by our Cherokee ancestors.
We will also have a discussion about Dental Care offered to Cherokee Citizens by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
I will also have Voting Registration forms and information available on how to register to vote in upcoming Cherokee Nation elections. And we will also have Cherokee Citizenship Registration forms available for Cherkoees that may have family that still have not been registered and for other individuals that may not have registered.
For those that are able to, please bring a side dish according to the first letter of your last name.
Please bring the following items to share for our potluck meal. If your last name starts with:
A - J: Main dish/Entree
K - S: Side dish, vegetable or salad
T - Z: Bottled water or canned soda
NOTE: This list has been amended somewhat from the last email because we will provide cake.
Coffee and cake will be provided.
We will also have a raffle and door prizes at this meeting.
